SLIDING GATE AUTOGATE SYSTEMS
Sliding gates open side-to-side instead of swinging in or out. Able to fit in a small area versus swings, it is popular as the gates can be concealed when open by sliding them against a surrounding structure or support, making it aesthetically more appealing to some. It also required a smaller operating area.
The two main operations of the sliding gates are mainly a track with wheels or rollers at the base of the gate for it to slide on or a cantilever-type whereby operating mechanism are located at either ends of the gates for it to meet unsupported in the middle.
Autogate systems to power the automatic opening and closing of sliding gates are popular and can be used from small residential sliding gates to big commercial ones. These systems come with a sensor and/or remote control to automatic open the gate when the car approaches. Safety feature such as anti-crash which stop the motion of the gate if there are any obstacles along its path or manual override in case of power failure are often standard in most brands today.
